Planning Committee
The Attorneys Shaping This Year's Program
The 2026 Class Action Seminar is shaped by some of California's most accomplished and dedicated plaintiff attorneys. This year's planning committee chairs bring decades of combined experience across class actions, mass torts, consumer rights, and complex litigation — and a shared commitment to education that elevates the entire plaintiff's bar.
Anne Marie Murphy
A partner at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy and a stalwart of the CAOC community, Anne Marie Murphy specializes in consumer class actions and elder abuse litigation — cases spanning antitrust, human rights, and financial fraud. She has served on CAOC's Executive Committee in multiple leadership roles and is a past Chair of the Women's Caucus. Recognized repeatedly by the Daily Journal as one of California's top women lawyers and top plaintiff attorneys, Anne Marie has also served for over a decade on the California Commission on Access to Justice, fighting to expand legal access for underserved Californians.
Sarah London
Sarah London is a partner at Girard Sharp and one of California's most decorated class action and mass tort attorneys. Named CAOC's Consumer Attorney of the Year in 2024, she served as co-lead counsel in the landmark Juul e-cigarette multidistrict litigation and has held appointed leadership roles in major cases including the Flint Water class action, Gilead HIV drug litigation, and Uber sexual assault cases. A perennial Super Lawyer and recipient of multiple Daily Journal Top Women Lawyers honors, Sarah brings exceptional credentials and deep passion for consumer justice to this year's program.
Adam Polk
Adam Polk is a partner at Girard Sharp whose practice spans consumer privacy, securities fraud, antitrust class actions, and catastrophic injury. He currently serves as co-lead counsel in the Blue Shield of California Privacy Litigation and the Salesforce data breach case, and has secured landmark results in major cases involving Google, LG Electronics, Pacific Fertility Center, and Maxar Technologies. Adam is co-chair of the ABA National Institute on Class Actions and Chair-Elect of the AAJ Class Action Litigation Section — making him one of the country's foremost thought leaders on class action strategy and procedure.
Deborah Dixon
Deborah Dixon is the founder and managing partner of The Dixon Firm in San Diego and General Counsel for the Los Angeles Chargers. Her practice focuses on complex class actions, mass torts, defective products, fraud, and gender discrimination, and she has been appointed by federal and state courts to lead some of California's largest litigations. A consistent Super Lawyer since 2017 and winner of the Witkin Award for Excellence in the Practice of Law, Deborah also serves as an adjunct professor at California Western School of Law, where she coaches the next generation of trial advocates.
Abbas Kazerounian
Abbas Kazerounian is the founding partner of Kazerouni Law Group, APC. Regarded as one of Southern California's preeminent consumer rights attorneys, Abbas has litigated more than 3,000 individual consumer cases and led hundreds of national class actions, including landmark TCPA settlements. A Super Lawyer, CAOC Presidential Award of Merit recipient, and adjunct professor at California Western School of Law, Abbas is also the author of two critically-acclaimed books and a nationally sought-after speaker on class action and consumer law.
Dan Robinson
Dan Robinson is a partner at Robinson Calcagnie in Newport Beach, concentrating on consumer rights, products liability, environmental contamination, and data breach litigation. Named by the Daily Journal as a Top 25 California Plaintiff Lawyer and recognized as its 2021 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year for his work on the One October Mandalay Bay shooting cases, he brings a deep local connection to this year's seminar, co-hosted in his firm's home city of Newport Beach.
