Annual Hawaii Seminar Report

Thirty-five consumer attorneys and their families met in beautiful Maui, Hawaii at the Kea Lani Hotel. There were some excellent speakers and we were honored to have the California Treasurer, Mr. Bill Lockyer, speak twice to the seminar attendees.

Randal Alan, run by Randy Cort of San Mateo, did a great job getting everybody over to Hawaii and hosting a fun reception the first night of the seminar. Randy has already begun working on the booking arrangements for the 2009 seminar, November 25 - December 5.

The Cotchett Law Firm of Burlingame provided some excellent speakers and was very supportive of our group. Joe Cotchett, Frank Pitre, and Steve Williams spoke on a variety of very interesting legal subjects.

Don Ernst, our immediate Past President, was very active in the program coordination. In fact, he ended up being a speaker twice and a moderator for part of the seminar. Don gave us a very good update on all of the legislative activities of CAOC and election result. Special thanks to Don for all of his help this year and in the past years for helping to put on great seminars.

We would like to thank Lori Sarracino for all of her hard work that she did to put together this seminar.
